Liturgical Textile Art for Worship Spaces
Liturgical Textile Art for Worship Spaces
Custom liturgical textiles designed in collaboration with your community. Rooted in symbolism, craftsmanship, and a deep sense of the sacred.
From full textile installations to individual vestments and paraments, each piece reflects the identity and spirit of the space it serves.
Nantucket, ma
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
Designed for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Nantucket, this installation brings together vestments and paraments in a unified visual language rooted in the character of the space.
Drawing inspiration from the church’s windows and native flora, the design weaves together color, movement, and symbolic detail to reflect the rhythms of the liturgical year. Each piece was created to feel both grounded in tradition and alive within the present life of the community.
New London, CT
St. James' Episcopal Church
Wellspring of the Joy of Living is a large-scale installation exploring the continuous flow of the Holy Spirit through the sanctuary.
Created in silk dupioni with hand-finished appliqué and reflective silver couching, the design draws its rich blues and movement from the stained-glass windows nearby.
A Diocesan Stole: Connection Across Community
On the election of the Rt. Rev. Julia Whitworth, as Bishop Diocesan, I designed a special Diocesan stole.
Featuring every parish, program, chapel, and camp of the diocese, the names are arrayed in a rainbow with matching hand-tied tassels. This stole was such a success that I created similar stoles for each of the three Regional Canons of the diocese.
When these stoles are worn at parish visitations, each church can find its name and feel more connected to the diocese as a whole.

Dupioni Silk
Dupioni silk is an exquisite weave of silk that combines a fine yarn in the warp and uneven yarns in the weft. The result is a lustrous fabric that appears to glow from within with vibrant color while retaining a textured look that wears well over time.
One of the characteristics of dupioni is the presence of “slubbing”, or uneven places in the weave. This helps to give the fabric a greater sense of depth. It is usually woven in India using traditional methods.
