St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Hanover, MA
2025 Installation by Christina Laberge
A vibrant green-season installation bringing movement, color, and living legacy into a quiet New England space.
A Commission of Renewal and Remembrance
This installation was created for St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Hanover, Massachusetts, as part of a bequest honoring a beloved parishioner. Designed for the green season, the set brings a sense of vitality and movement into a traditionally understated New England worship space.
The Installation
Drawing from the color in the stained-glass windows and the curling gold elements of the church’s light fixtures, the design uses a vibrant green palette with layered techniques including bias appliqué, raw-edge appliqué with thread painting, and machine embroidery.

It's All in the Details
Subtle details such as ladybugs and hummingbirds woven throughout the work. These create moments of discovery that reflect both the beauty of the natural world and the enduring presence of the individual it commemorates.
“What Christina created is a conduit to spiritual connection and appreciation for all who join us for worship.”
The Rev. Amy Whitcomb-Slemmer
Every Church Has Its Own Story
Each project begins with listening: to the space, its symbolism, and the story it already holds. During a site visit we explore the architecture, artistic elements, and long-held traditions. The design grows from what is already meaningful to your community.
