Church of the Good Shepherd in Reading, MA
2026 Installation by Christina Laberge
A vivid Easter installation shaped by rich color, movement, and the rising energy of the Spirit.
A Study in Color and Movement
I drew inspiration from the sanctuary’s rich palette of creams and reds for this installation.
Designed for the Easter season, the set reimagines white paraments through vibrant color and dynamic movement.
Cohesive Eucharistic Elements and Paraments
Centered around a crimson and gold cross, the design unfolds through layered bias appliqué and flowing gold couching that suggests an upwelling of the Spirit.
The use of multiple shades of red, combined with gold detailing, creates a dramatic and kinetic effect and brings warmth, energy, and visual depth into the space.
Every Church Has Its Own Story
Each project begins with listening: to the space, its symbolism, and the story it already holds. During a site visit we explore the architecture, artistic elements, and long-held traditions. The design grows from what is already meaningful to your community.
